Cylinder Wash?

Cylinder Wash?
So I had my LT1 engine rebuilt and it ran fine for 30 miles then started missfiring and losing power.
I drove it this way for about 5 miles to get it home.
My mechanic found that the Opti had crapped out and after replacing that 2 cylinders were missfiring which got traced down to 2 new racetronix injecters that were bad.
The car wound up running very rich
We replaced the new injecters with my old ford ones and now it's running like on 7 cylinders even though the cylinder is getting fuel and spark.
My mechanic said cylinder wash has made the new ring(s) not want to seat and is soaking the cylinder in oil for a few hours.
He's going to fire it up soon and hopefully fix this.
Anyone ever have this problem and is there anything better than motor oil to use for this?
Thanks in Advance

I had a friend 383 LT1 do the same thing except in his car the injector was firing but the plug wire was not on the spark plug. The person who was tunug the car thought that it was supposed to idle like it was.. Bottom line is hes takeing the motor back out to re ring that cyclinder.

You need the injectors to be the same flow rate as for what the car is setup for. You can use different ones but need a tune to correct for it. Did you pull the plugs and see if they are firing now?
