Delteq Opti replacement

Delteq Opti replacement
I am HIGHLY interested in picking up a Delteq Opti-Direct system. I need to replace my opti (987XX+ miles) and figured why not get rid of it all together?
I just would like to know the pros/cons of this system and if anyone here uses it w/no problems.

the stage II or complete replacement isn't available yet, its on the website but as of last week, wasn't available yet. Should be a great replacement that everybody will sooner or later invest in once it's up and running

Be another month or two before the full unit comes out. Something wasn't quite right from what I hear so they re-did it now instead of later and it put them behind. Yes, the optical portion of the opti-spark must work right for the delteq to work right with the stage I kit.

What if the my opti is supposedly causing my miss, does that mean I have to check the eye and if the eye is ok then the delteq works? Anyone know how long till the full unit comes out?

Thanks, too bad I dont know whats wrong with mine. You cant open up opti's and fix em can you? I mean I know you can get new caps and rotors, but can I tear mine down and see what was wrong?

I actually didn't see anything about a Stage II on their website.
But, the optical portion of the opti-spark I'm sure goes bad less often then the cap/rotor. I could be wrong though.
I do think this is a great system, and I'm very interested in it.

I think there is Dynaspark and LTCC, but I have no information on them. Just to throw out some names. I just dont like having the opti control anything, that damn bastard of an ignition.

Yeah, I feel you. My opti is still the stock one...so I've been pretty lucky it lasted this long...but I'm sure it wasn't driven hard by the previous owner. Since I've got to change it, I think it would be smarter to just upgrade to something that is much easier to maintain and less prone to frequent failure.
