Delteq problems...

missfire
I am having similar problems described by everyone...Mine is missing all across the board...and it definitely wasnt doing this prior to delteq install...not to mention before I even did the delteq install I replaced the opti due to it being bad...and came across a good deal on a delteq so I grabbed it up...when I am not giving it throttle and the car is rolling in gear and starts backfiring only getting louder the longer you let it. sometimes when you first put it in gear and start to accelerate it just cuts off ...also when sitting still at red lights or what not it'll randomly cut off and wont crank unless it sets for 5-10 seconds...if you let it get under 2000rpm it'll start missing and if you're accelerating at any rate over 4000rpm it'll start missing and cutting out....and like I stated earlier there were definitely no signs of any of this occuring before the install...im just trying to find something to look too in fixing this mess...any help or advice from past experiences would be gladly appreciated

I will admit to NOT reading the entire thread but would like to add after Sinking over two grand into a full DELTEQ/MSD system I had to abandon it completely because it would not work on my car in any form. Three different Opti's, different plugs, many different wiring configurations and much more
I also know of one guy who had ab out the same exact problems I was haveing with his LS1 Coils sytem. Both of us went back to Opti's. At least we know if we put a good cap and rotor on it each year we will keep running
BTW The problem was the car would be running and the DELTEQ would basicly loose Sink and stop fireing the coils. it would start to miss and then die. I replaced every singal part in many different combinations and in the end sold the system to someone with a much milder system. they seem to work well with mild setups
