details on boring 48mm TB to 52mm

Pretty sure I've seen articles on boring a stock 48mm TB to 52mm, but cant seem to find any links & searching every way I could think of didnt hit jackpot, so....can anyone point me in right direction, i.e. detailed how to info?
Details like how critical is the bore spacing (yeah I know it needs to match the intake, but if the bores are of a few thou am I gonna risk hitting a passage or otherwise destroy the TB)
What's the cleanest way to remove the shaft & then reinstall/secure it? Looks like the swaged end could be ground off & the shaft drilled & tapped for a screw/washer
Where's the best source for 52mm butterflys?
I have a donor TB & access to machine tools. What I dont haveaccess to is $300-400 for a new one (plus I like the idea of DIY)
thanks in advance!
Ian

Contact the guys at TPIS. They do what you're talking about everyday. Be warned that if you do that, you will need to reprogram for it. Also if you have pretty much stock components, you won't see much in the way of gains.
