did anyone cut out splash guard after cai install?
i was just wondering if anyone cut holes or modded the splash guard after installing a cai? i am highly thinking about it but don't know if it is worth it or a waste of time. i would think that it couldn't hurt because this car is not out in the rain. also, did anyone who did this notice any minor time slip differences at the track? thanks

If you want to put it back on and do this mod...

it couldn't hurt.

I didn't cut mine, and am glad that I didn't. I would always be worried about sucking water into the intake if I cut it. I still noticed a big improvement with the CAI install even though I didn't remove the plastic.

I never put mine back on either.
With the filter mounted low like that it won,t matter whether you have a splash guard on or not if you run through deep standing water.
I have to clean my filter more often but I just avoid rain and NEVER go into standing water.

did you all remove the black plastic piece that sits right behind the headlight? i guess this is where air comes from under the headlight on the factory intake. there is actually one of these pieces that is in the left fenderwell that i removed but i did not remove the one right behind the headlight.
