Did I Miss The Boat

Did I Miss The Boat
I am in the process of rebuilding my daughters 1995 Formula. I have collected the following parts as enhancements: 1994 Corvette Block (4bolt main), Melling Hi-Vol Oil Pump, Hooker Long Tube Headers and true dual exhaust, Comp Cam 215/220 499/510 w 1.5 rockers, Appropriate Comp Cam Springs, Manley Push Rods, 1.6 Crane Roller Rockers, 160* Thermostat, 373 gears, CAI, Oil Cooler, Taylor Wires, Aluminum Drive shaft, B&M Street Stall Convertor, MSD 6AL Ignition, Sub-Frame Connectors, Granatelli MAF, and BBK 52mm Throttle Body. Whew, does this all make sense given the Cam Specs, or is the Cam too weak? Could I expect to break into the 12's? Any other suggestions? Is there any difference in the LT4 vs LT1 Knock Module? What does ttt mean on the parts weblink?
Any, all comments welcome, Thanks,
George

if the rockers you are getting are roller tips or full rollers you'll definately want to get the lt4 module, that way the added "noise" from the rockers won't be picked up as knock and trigger the ecm to pull timing (ie...power).
ttt mean To The Top...when you wnat to bring your post back onto the first page. the guys here get kindda ticked if you do it too much...good rule is once aday...

You should be able to crack a 12 with that combo with proper tuning and traction. Who is reprogramming the PCM?
Also curious why you went with that cam?
Are you using 1.6 rockers on the intake and 1.5s on the exhaust?

Just to kind of piggy-back on Gripenfelter--you'll definately want to have the PCM reprogrammed. (I didn't notice that anywhere in your list of mods.) Plus you'll want the LT4 Knock Module to help eliminate false knock.

A couple thoughts......
Melling Hi-Vol Oil Pump
You do not want a high volume pump unless you also have a high volume oil pan. The stock pump is fine... get it blueprinted, tack weld the pickup, and use the "white" high pressure spring if you are planning on revving it over 6200rpm. A high volume pump on the stock pan will tend to run dry. There are 1000+HP LT1's running stock pump and pan.
-----------------------
Hooker Long Tube Headers and true dual exhaust
You will need to remove EGR and AIR systems, and make sure you have O2 bungs added to the Hookers.... they are not "standard".
-----------------------
Granatelli MAF
Not a good idea, IMHO. Get your PCM correctly reprogrammed for the correct WOT A/F ratio. The Granatelli is an over-priced "band-aid" for poor tuning. Aftermarket tuners hate mod'd MAF's because the calibration table is all screwed up.

That combo looks good for you daughters daily driver....Ild like alittle bigger cam like a cc305 bit what you have will meet your goals for the car and be more tame on the street.
Tuning would help but the stock program should work with that cam.
You will need different springs for the 1.6 rockers. I have some lt4 springs, that will work for that cam and with the other stock components ,for sale if your interested......$25 shipped.

Thanks
Thanks for the responses. The cam I got on E:Bay for a decent price $75.00, so I sold my LT4 Hotcam and went this way. Programming I have a HPP, but not sure if that will be good enough. I am concerned about the oil pump now, should I just go stock? Or will this be okay with my stock pan? Any suggestions about tires and other traction mods I need?
Thanks Again

Fred how many times have you heard this happen? I have this pump in my new motor and now i wanna cry. If i suck my pan dry on a 8k motor ill die. I have only heard this one other time. I asked at the machine shop about this and they said no way. Im reving 6600rpms maybe bring back down to 5800 and up the boost. can i put and milodon or canton with the motor in the car? room issues?
Thanks bill

As far as tires and traction mods. Ild do lower control arms, subframe connectors, and an adjustable torque arm. Tires....ET Street drag radials for the track(not for daily driving).
