Lots more oil pressure if you get rid of it. Its not really an oil cooler its an oil temp stabilizer for emissions. Well worth it it only takes about 30 mins to remove. cap the line coming out of the radiator and cap the line coming out of the water pump or couple them together. Capping them off is the way to go In my opinion.

So I replaced the sending unit (pita) after running seafoam in the crankcase (with the old oil) for 100 miles then putting in 5w-30 castrol gtx conventional. Oil pressure at cold startup is 60 psi and warm idle is 25 psi. WOT is 60+ psi. Not too shabby for a 180,000 mile LT1
