Dino or Sythetic on 1st 50mile break in oil change??

I used dino oil on start up.. I have 50 miles on the car and was going to use regular oil again.. and then at 500 miles i was going to switch to synthetic...
And when i switch im going to give it wide open throttle and really feel the power again !!!!

so what do u prefer for the 1st oil change?

Call around to the major oil and gas distributors.

Larry, don't you think N-D oil is old (and outdated) school? Definately petroleum based initially, but non det?

1st? I'm under the impression oil was changed now at 50 mi. You could have, (or should have) changed it at half that. Providing the block was honed/machined correctly, the first 20-30 miles are the most crtitical, and will do most of the seating. From that point, the miles become less critical, with progressively less seating being accomplished. If you are a fanatic, you could run dyno till 1500 miles if you like, just in case some final minute seating is being accomplished. Not stating that it is necesary, and certainly, reace engines aren't given that 'benefit of the doubt'.

ALso, those initial critical miles are rather mute, if the engine was not allowed to seat the rings effectively. If the engine was driven mildly during those initial miles, it is a mute point.
