Distributor help

so i have been looking and i know what a distributor is but i cant seem to find it in my 93 z28.....can anyone help me figure out where it is?

Your distributor (Optispark) is on the front of the engine, under the water pump.

welcome to the opti world...i havent had problems yet but knock on wood. I am contemplating a cam swap but dont know bc i dont wanna move the opti lmao.

Only cure is a sheet metal intake then u can run a distributor

Contrary to popular vote I recommend the MSD cap and rotor. Why you ask...
they have a one year warranty!! Couple that with a back half from auto zone or o'reilly's and you have a one year warranty. I've replaced both twice now and have only bought it once!!

Genuine GM optis have a one year warranty, as well.

really? what do they cost? I always thought they cost a fortune.
for me the msd c&r kit 156.00 and the back half was 120.00 so I was only out about 280.00 total.

Like anything else, the cost varies by where it is purchased.

Current GM wholesale on a vented opti is $297.16
Non-vented is $350.55
Plus this is brand new-not remanufactured like an auto parts store "back half" is.
Most all new GM parts have a one year warranty.
