It depends. How many watts are you planning on putting out with your amps? What gauge wire are you planning on running to those amps? Personally I would run your wire for amps right off your battery because the wire running from the "+" to that little distributor thing is pretty thin (looks like maybe 10gauge at the biggest) and I've found the min. for anything over 75watts would be an 8gauge wire, and if you were to run a thick gauge wire off that distributor thing you run the risk of overheating that thinner wire if your pulling a lot of AMPS, plus limiting the power available to your amps. As always fuse everything, and if your willing to do the research do relays especially on the neon. Just my .02cents. Try posting in the stereo section you'ld get some good responses there on this question.

when i disconnect the battery????
hi,
i am going with some big power,and 4 gauge wire,so i guess that counts that out,so i need a new battery for my one car,and i am going to transplant this my camaro battery,to it,and buy a new one for my camaro,"with both side and top connectors"but now another question is,when i disconnect the battery,what am is going to happen with my alarm,and theftlock radio,and wont my computer do something?anyway of getting around all of this stuff?thanks alot.
