DMH Cut-Out Where PLaced and How much cable?
How much cable does it come with? If they ask how much I want, how much should I get? I am debating on going right before the rear axle with the cut-out or right after the Y pipe. What do you think?

I have the DMH ecutout located in front of the rear axle, which is the location I would recommend. The interior sound is quite sufficient but not too much in that location. Cannot imagine any performance improvement by placing it right after the cat (although there are those that claim locating in front of the cat is the only way to go). In fact, what you will experience is too much interior noise (as has been mentioned on this board by others) and not a very safe place to "hide" the electric motor, especially if you car is lowered(or you plan to lower it in the future!). Locating it under the rear passenger side floorboard provides you w/ a "safe" location for the motor and a ready made interior access location; a grommeted drain plug in the passenger side rear floorboard. Dave provides plenty of length (about 8 ft) in the electrical wire. If you have a stainless steel cat back, I would suggest having Dave fabricate a cutout from stainless to match. It increases the price but IMO it's worth it. I also had a friend who owns a header manufacturing shop make me a mandrel bent extension w/ a flanged end (so I can rotate it in any direction) and stainless flange connector so I can direct the exhaust down from the cutout opening. It's both functional and esthetic. I will have pics posted as soon as I get them developed. Good Luck!!
