Does GM sell the cooling fans & shroud?
I have done a search and didn't find anything stating GM sells the cooling fan shroud and fans. Though I recall reading somewhere that GM does not offer these. Looking at Shoebox's site (thanks for a great site!!), I only see a part number for the cooling fan motor. Does GM offer the shroud and fan assembly or do I have to purchase used?
Thanks
Kevin

Yes, GM sells those parts. Here are the pn's:
Fan 22098787, same pn for both fans,
Shroud 22125220,
Bracket 22125219, same pn for both brackets.
There are other small parts like nut and bolts which you can us from your old assembly.

I would try the junk yard and see what price they'd give ya.
You can get an almost new one as long as they had the hood closed for cheaper probably. Check into it, then again i've had them try to rip me off too.....i'm not paying 80-90% of new when i could just go buy new. That's when you just turn around do a smokey burnout ...lol You might get a deal, since there isn't really much demand for them.
Cause i just looked it up and GMpartsdirect shipped is $75

sssalah, is the shroud part number for the unit that covers the radiator or the pieces that cover the fans?
I'm trying to get an idea of the price of this fan assembly (fans, motors, fan shields, and sroud) as it would attach to the radiator.
I'm going to be running an aluminum radiator in my 69 Camaro with an LT4. I believe this is a lower cost alternative than purchasing the Spal dual fan set-up. Anyone have pictures of how they have installed the 4th gen fan to an aluminum radiator?
Thanks guys.

Re: Does GM sell the cooling fans & shroud?
The shroud is the one piece unit that both fan assys sit in and attaches to the radiator. The brackets (2) are circular pieces, attached to the shroud that hold each fan motor.

Offers a really cool chrome one, for not much more than GMpartsdirect. If you intend on going with a new one. I would go with the one they make. Its not likely to break since its not made out of plastic.
