does it really sound bad???
hey everybody i just oredered my jet hot lt and im going to have a costom y pipe made.. right now i have the slp loudmouth...i did a search on lts with off road ypipe and lm...and there was alot of negative a positive feedback on the tone of the system. . what does it sound like withouts a cat??high pitched or deep?im trying to make my mind up cat or no cat . . my LM is not raspy and poppy i think its due to fact that i took the resonator off and just ran pipe instead of the muffler plus i have 4 inch round tips . . do tips make a diffrence in tone??because my friend has the LM on his 97 with flat tips and it sounds so much diffrent its real opopy and high pitched , , ,my setup is alot deeper even at idle mine sound deeper and alot louder . . well anhyways what should i do???thanks alot for checkin out my thread

Was passing CA emissions a concern? All I've heard was bad comments concerning removal of the cats when it comes to sound. If you have the cats now and remove them, it's a good chance you'll sound like your friend. I'm betting he removed or gutted his cat.

Not in person, but I've never heard a good review of a loudmouth with headers and !cats....
My car, headers, ORY, borla catback... really raspy and poppy, so I'm sure loudmouth would be the same or even worse.
Can't wait to get some cats in there, and GMMG

I have a turbo muffler on there now and I like the way it sounds. Loud, but not too loud, and it's got a good tone without too much rasp.

I have a loudmouth now and will be getting Jet hot LT's a hooker ORP pretty soon. I have already figured that if it's either too loud or too raspy I will just cut the resonator out and stick a long bullit muffler in for cruising and an elec cutout before the muffler for the track and when ever I want to scare someone
