Does this sound like an OPTI symptom? Please help
Ok the car is fine when I start it up cold. All BLMs are right at 128. Then I will drive the car, drives pretty good. But the problem occurs after the car warms up, and I come to a stop light. I have an A4, and when i stop and the car sits for about 10 seconds +, it'll start idling rough and the volt gauge will drop down. Then the Left BLMwill go crazy, like jump to 170 or so. Then after I start driving again, its ok, but the LBL will still be a lil off...like about 10 or so above 128.
Also, when its warmed up and sitting there idling, it will start to whistle...like what a slipping belt would sound like. But I JUST replaced the belt, and it didnt help any
Ive replaced...
Battery(sears gold)
Alternator(170 amp)
Belt
Just did Coil today(with GM delco)
Coil wire
PLugs
Wires
Im not getting any Knock. U guys think the Opti should be next on my list? I have an extra one that came off the car(used, but replaced with another one when the lats owner was trying to cure the stuttering..which turned out to be plugs/wires)
This opti prolly has 20k+ miles..
Any help is very thankful...

Turns out I have an Intake Manifold leak...pretty common for these cars. The whistling and ticking noise are from the vacuum leak caused...because they are supposed to be air tight to keep a vacuum or something like that, so when oil is getting out, air is getting in etc...
I havent fixed it yet, but everythign is pointing in that direction..seeing how I can see the oil leaking out of the intake manifold. Im hoping when I fix it it will also fix all the noises its making. If not, then i would be completely lost, cause its not the belt(which is usually what a whistling noise would be)

Honestly I suspect something other than the Opty. Sounds like the engine loads up on fuel or an air leak each time the comes to a full stop when warm. I would first check the intake manifold vacum.. next find out where the noise is comming from ....next find out why the voltage is fluctuating.. even if the alternator had taken a crap the battery would keep the voltage fairly constant for at least 10 minutes and way more if you have a good battery.
I would do more detective work before slaping a new opty on it.
I hope you fix it soon.
