Mods are Aerochamber in the stock location, MadZ28 OBDI Conversion, !ks, !front bumper support, hurst shifter and later in the day we put on a CAI and Trick Flow Elbow, which I might add did not seem to help but it started getting much hotter out than the first 2 runs....
haha, yeah i know the feeling about wanting your car to stand out.. My car is white so i got the same feeling and bought a black pannel for the back.. makes the car much differnt. I was the only white and black camaro there.. and had the borla quad tips.

So why did you do the OBDI Conversion? Just for fewer codes and less stuff to worry about? I'm trying to figure out if i should do that, but when I do it I'll do it after i get headers so i can have the car programmed for them at the same time. I'm also planning on puttig the car deep in the 12's just for fun in the next few weeks, but I'm not gonna stop modding the car to make it fast all the time lol

Re: Don't believe in factory freaks?

I ran my 8.6 on only a flowmaster catback and cai. I believe that the 60' reeeaaallly plays a factor on your times. When I have nailed a sub 2 sec 60' that thing gets down the track good.

I'm gald to see your times. Your 1/8 mile time and mph are close to mine. That lets me know that my car will do around 13.3 in the 1/4 if I get the launch correct. Woo Hoo! Can't wait for the cam and roller rockers.

If you're a good enough driver, you can run better in an M6 over an auto time wise. But even still the M6 car will always trap higher than an A4. Less power lost to turn the transmission and the gears are closer ratio which helps a bunch.

Re: Don't believe in factory freaks?

I had a white 93 A4 with 3.23s that did mid-high 13s stock. I added a CAI and pcmforless.com chip and got a 13.4.

I understand the gears part, but the lt1 kinda benefits from that.. high torque lower down.. makes good power at lower rpms so it really dones't hurt the car.. The long / fast intake runners are good for that.

Hey guys in SC, where about's is that strip and when does it shut down for the season. I'm in surfside beach w/a '95 formula 'vert A4. Not had it but about a month and a half. stock except for a flowmaster muffler (prev. owner) and a poly trans mount. Thanks for that link to the f-body club man. Re: Don't believe in factory freaks?

I dunno where surfside beach is, but there are local branches of the club that have meetisng.. the lowcountry is the most active from what I understand. Darlington is the track and it's in Darlington SC.. same place as the NASCAR thingy. I dunno when it closes but get on the site, we're planning a Ford vs GM shootout for within the next 2 months i believe.
