i was just used to parking my car like my truck on the side of the road at this spot, where left tires are on asfault and the right tires are in the dirt, well cause there is a little erosion, my engine started dragging i was wtf is that!...

but sure enough i looked a couple days later, that Iorn plate under there had a few scratches a few chucks of asfualt stuck to it, i dont think ive done all the scratches...

It kinda is, if you stand the car up on the bumper on the launch, then let off and come back down real quick, odds are you'll bend the wheels, smash the k-frame, destroy the headers, and lay waste to the oil pan.

Otherwise, I think this guy is talking about bottoming the frame out since he thinks his car is lowered. It isn't *bad* as in it won't destroy your motor, but of course it isn't good to scrape your car's body on the pavement.

It also could be because you've got worn shocks and springs. My friend with a 97 Camaro RS with a trillion miles on it bottoms out on the stock suspension, they just wear out.

Probably the k-member under the engine that you scraped? Hopefully, no biggie as long as you did not slam it on anything.

Don't let it fool you. My friends car took corners well still on worn shocks. If the previous owner lowered it, park it next to another F-Body and see who sits lower. That'll give you your anwser.

Yup, nothing to worry about, if it looks lower, its lowered, and thats why your scraping. You just gotta be careful around speed bumps and pot holes.

yea i forgot i scrap on speed bumps too...
i gotta go really slow, if front wheels go over too quick it practicly drops the engine on the bump

hrmm i looked at my car the other day, and it seems maybe its not lowered but rather the front shocks arent working right...

the front looks to be about 2-3 inches lower then the back
perhaps the shocks or springs have a problem and need replacing

what would i need to do? if this was the case and how would i identify this possiblity as being true?
