Dtc 51... ???

This is an "EEPROM Programming error". It just showed up right after a flash and a WOT run. It started with DTC 41 (IC circuit open) and immediatly went to DTC 51. It also shot me a DTC 36 (high res fault) about 3 seconds later along with a 66 (A/C low pressure) and 71 (A/C evap sensor fail). I don't even have my A/C hooked up at this time and have never seen these faults.

I cleared all of them and the car started fine and went home. Upon looking at the official GM service manual, it say if this ever appears, you need to get a new PCM.

Thankfully I have a spare PCM but wanted to know from folks if they have ever had this and if the PCM really is damaged or just reflash.

thanks,
Ben

It was probably just a power glitch. If it clears and doesn't come back, you don't have any worries.

Found out I did have a power glitch but the PCM would not reflash so it was damaged...
