heres the gap between the alternator and the valve cover. it is about 1.5mm to 2mm, its more than it looks.

Those are polished aluminum not chrome..
Still look very nice for the price..
Anyone running RR's with them?
[I emailed an ebay vendor about fit and they replied RR's won't fit under..]
Do the aluminum ones quiet the RR's as much as the LT4 [composite]covers?

I thought those didn't have the CCV grommet provision, but I see it's on the SIDE of the psgr one...

SVT Killer LV had the best option so far. I inspected the part you grind off, it's a very small part of the alternator. With it gone, you can use any normal height SBC centerbolt valve covers. Edelbrock has some really nice thick aluminum ones machine to not interfere with rockers but will deaden the sound greatly. They are less than 100 bucks and come with or without the edelbrock logo... summit and jegs has them.

That's what I'm going to do!
