dynaspark users

I have a few questions. I has any one had any problems with one dying on them? also is this a direct opti replacement as in all other functions work exactly them same. ie aftermarket rev limiters, window swithces, and so on.

Re: dynaspark users

Hi
I have 2 of them and have never had any problems with them. I race them and turn them over 7200 now for over 2 years now. They are a direct replacement and they stand behind their product.
If you are interested in one please let them know you got this information from Rick Abare.

Thanks

LTCC. 8 coils are better than 4 or 1.

Re: dynaspark users

I was planning on going with the Delteq on my new setup but I decided to go with the Dynaspark instead. They are both pretty expensive (and both very good) but if you want to run an aftermarket ignition box, you have to go digital and that is more expensive. This way, I can keep what I have got.

Re: dynaspark users

I still have not seen anything proving that the seperate coil packs are better or that they make more power than the opti.
The opti spark is the most accurate firing of all the dist. Yes they have their problems like any dist. but Dynaspark has come a long ways in fixing them. I just can't justify the cost, all the work changing over, and all the clutter in the way every time I want to work on the motor, and show no gain in et at the track. I gained .2 when I went to the Dynaspark. Show me another .2 with the coil packs and I will switch to them.
I race every week end all summer and have won 5 championships in 4 years, named best driver of the year twice, and have won wallys for both the national Dragster Challenge and the King of the Track. Believe me you can spend a lot of money and time and get nothing for it because I have done it.

Rick

Re: dynaspark users

I have the dynaspark aswell. Love it, my car has never started so quick and have such crisp throttle response.

Re: dynaspark users

hell i just want some thing the will not leave me stranded on the side of the road 2 or 3 times a year. I read searches all day yesterday about ltcc, deltag, and dynaspark. It seem any post about one alway leads to the other being brought up. And the good news is every one who has a deltaq thinks it is great and every one who has a dyna spark thinks it is great. so that would leave me to believe that either one is a great product. either way sounds like you cannot go wrong. I first i was leaning towards the deltaq but since my opti is dead right now it seems like i would have to buy a new opti, then buy a delteq then all my ignitions controll are worthless. my accell 300+ and my 375+ wich i am very happy with both would no longer work so to have those functions i would have to buy a msd dis-4 and then a window switch. so to get my car back to running I can either buy a dynaspark and be done with it or. buy a delteq, new opti, msd dis4, and window switch, plus i like the accell set up better then the msd. So if the dynaspark has no problems it is almost a no brainer for me.

Re: dynaspark users

you do not sacrifice the accuracy of the opti by using the delteq.
