Your setup runs what it should with the mods, everyone else is just slower.

95Bird has done things similarly, using good parts and putting a well-working combo together that runs very well. I've tried to adopt a similar strategy when I picked out the parts for my motor, even down to the rings used, custom cam, etc. No sense in throwing HP away.

I will have my own car dyno'd here in the next couple weeks and am hoping for good numbers as well. I'm sure people will call BS when I post the graphs but that is the nature of things here. Keep up the good work and let us know what kind of #'s the thing runs.
Thanks and good luck to you.

Denny, good job on your numbers. It gives us weekend hot rodders hope for more. We all need to pay more attention to detail to get al we can out of our combo's.

My 383 puts down 366 rwhp at 5900 with a bigger cam, miniram intake, 10.5 comp, no windage tray, and ported AFR 190(now 207cc) heads that flow more than yours at 282-220 @ .500. At least I know there is more in store, and I was about to give up with this motor, but after seeing this thread, I have decided to stick it out and get everything I can out of this motor.

Maybe with a hydra-rev kit, better oil pan with windage tray and crank scraper, porting on the intake and tuning I can get close to your numbers.

Re: Dyno Results from LE2 heads on a 385

this guy never quits, I used to work at a dyno shop quite a while back and denny would be there until the sun came up trying to get that extra couple of hp out of that car... I believe that was the old 398 motor. Denny, I need heads for my 38X project, we should talk.

Edit: wrong screen name, this is LT4mula, FormulaLT-1, Ross, whatever other names I have.

Thumbs up Re: Dyno Results from LE2 heads on a 385

Very nice numbers Denny and a big congrats. Refreshing to see someone building a stroker that is up near its potential.

The devil is in the details... yes indeed.

They were actually sold two months ago but I'm thinking the price should go up.

Good to hear from ya again......Still can't believe Chris Harrington and I would tune all night and get an hours sleep to go race. I felt like absolute crap from no sleep and breathing exhaust fumes all night. No wonder I was so poor on cutting a good light the next day. That was with the 396 combo..... the 398 came later.

Re: Dyno Results from LE2 heads on a 385

Hey Denny, I picked up the heads/cam today from Scott. Can't wait to sneak them onto my wife's '95 Actually, probably be about a year or so before I get them on there, be interesting to see how they do on a stock LT1 short block for starters until we stroke it out. Thanks bud for the parts!

Awesome numbers and well deserved. Sounds like those many hours of tuning defiantly paid off.
