ok this is starting to suck now. i bought a new relay and it worked for a little bit, not even enough for the car to run for 5 seconds. now all i can hear when i turn the key is a click. i have no clue now what it can be!

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
went out this morning and the fuel pump came on. took the old relay and put it back in and the damn thing still starts.
this kinda makes me not wanna go anywhere if it is just gonna quit working sometimes. pos.
maybe its a loose wire somewhere...i dunno!

If you do have to replace the pump I second or third the trap door method. I just replaced mine recently, cutting the whole was very easy and the best part (or worst part) was when I was finished I had to go back in to the tank again because I f'd up the fuel level gauge! If I had dropped the rear to do it and then had to do that a second time I would have probably gone postal!
