if your willing to learn how to program your pcm, and want to program your pcm. i would say do the obd1 conversion. because you can program it anytime you want to, without the delay of shipping it (even if its free). the software fo rthe obd2 is more expencive. 500 bucks just for the editing software. probably another 100 for scanning software, 100 for the cable. so your 700 bucks in the hole.

obd1 conversion i got for 140 (and kept my pcm.) the cable is 65 and the software is scanning software is a 100. and a 100 for the editing software. so about 400 bucks you can do the obd1 conversion and have all the software and the obd2 pcm.

go here for the conversion www.madz28.com
