? on edelbrock lt1 heads
I love this site and read many threads daily to keep my knowledge up, but recently today i was reading about edel lt1 performer heads and how much of a waste of time and money they are. well i wish i was on this site a yr ago when i did a new head install, bbk headers, waterpump etc. on my 95 z28. This is my second camaro and first to mod. I feel like i have chosen the wrong path on modding my car. I wasnt looking for crazy power but a little gain and roar. recently it has been giving me issues and havent been able to drive it. should i sell it and restart or can i make this work?

What kind of power did the engine make when it was running correctly? Did the mods include a cam, or just the heads? Do you feel it was any kind of improvement over stock?
What are your current "issues"?

Re: ? on edelbrock lt1 heads
The car blew a head a month after i bought it so dont know exact hp but ran strong. After install felt a small improvement.More response on start. No cam install, just heads and headers. put new o2s in plugs, wires ,coil, high flow cat to straight pipe. Car sounds sick and mean
my issues are... after rebuild maf plug was setting the ses light on and off whenever i hit a bump making the car stutter. So i changed that bought brand new plug and spliced together, light still came on and stays on after 30 seconds of start. Also about 45-55 mph the car seems like it wants to go and stop and back and forth , once past 60mph its fine. So i drove it for 6 months and it one day just died. volts ran 8v even with jump. had battery tested and alt. both good. would crank slow but not start.I tightened and checked every wire.
So i let it sit for about 3 months went out put battery out of my fathers van and started right up, took it out for a test ride and got up to about 40 mph and died. wouldn't start. so i warm it up in the driveway once a week drive it around the coldasak a few times bc if i take it on the main rd it dies. Just havent had the acess to diagnostic tools or time but i will have time soon and just need to get pointed in the right direction.

But what i have for heads in ur opinion would they be worth changing or do you think i could get a decent amount of power out of a tune and a few more mods and how much power do u think the mods might have made?

Re: ? on edelbrock lt1 heads
Did you buy coated headers? The coating will burn off and ruin the O2's. I waited 2 weeks to change mine for new ones. Your Data log will show if they are toast or not.
