Egr Solenoid

Ive asked this before i know, but i was looking at shoeboxs pictures what is it that acutally come off is it just the EGR Valve in the back of the manifold, because it looks like the only thing with 2 bolts , and it looks like if you take that off your going to have a big *** hole not some little bitty dimond looking thing either. and what do you use to cover that hole up?

yes, there is only two bolts that hold on the egr valve. there should be one vacuum line connected to it also. when you pull the egr valve off, there will be two holes in the back of the intake. they are not really big. you can buy block off plates for this. it is not that big of a piece. the egr valve is much bigger than these holes. people that eliminated the egr will be more help than myself. good luck

..until it comes off the first time you drive it.

Use the EGR valve as a template and make a plate out of any metal that is substantial enough not to flex when you bolt it on. A gasket is a good idea too, even if just a piece of gasket material from a sheet. No need to worry about the holes except for the bolts to go through.

It's only $8 for the LT4 block off plate from your Chevy Dealer and a dollar for the gasket. They have to special order it so it may take a few days, comes from over seas.
