Elapsed Time

Right lane:
http://www.geocities.com/ssteal96/sliptealterdy.jpg

Never got a clean launch. Either bogging or spinning on 26" ET Streets. Was also crossing the traps at 5900rpm where my peak is 1000rpm above that.
I'm pretty happy w/ the results for what they are. Was able to load the kids in back, drive 82 miles, half of it using cruise control, the other half in stop/go traffic comfortably puttering around 2000rpm, get there and run. Besides I didn't break. That's always a win win.
Race weight is 3750. DA was 711.
Naturally there's all kinds of things that need to be done. Mainly more gear. Perhaps something like a 4.56 if staying on a 26" tire or more gear and go 28". The nitrous voodoo is in the plans at some point so that needs to be taken into consideration. Need some weight transfer and probably need to put the pig on a diet, but for now I like my street car. I say for using nine year old Lingenfelter CNC heads which were originally designed for 383cid and a 211/219 cam it ain't half bad. Maybe a few years down the road if I still have this setup I'll go for some monster aftermarket heads/intake.

I was at the top end.....When the car went through the traps it was still pulling hard.

I would get some suspension and a 4.10 gear. Even with 28" I would still go 4.10's.

Sounded nice and clear up top

Gears are really necessary if you were going through the traps 1000rpm short of peak power. Now, if you plan to spray that engine, the 3.73's might just be what you need.

Nice mph though. The ET's will come with more seat time.

This whole story seems fake. I challenge you to a rugby match to decide if your vehicle was even capable of this.

But knock that 60ft down and you will see some big changes. A nice 1.5 or 1.6 would probably pick you up a couple MPH. Not bad at all for a first outing though.

Neither do you.

On a serious note get some gears in that thing, it sounded like you shifted into 4th 100ft before the line.

he was going into 4th about 900 ft. mark or more.

I say get some 4.10's...... forget the nitrous, just more BS to deal with.

Here's a vid of an 11.80 pass. I didn't realize how useless 4th gear was until after I saw this vid. Not even considering tire growth of the Streets I may only of used 4th for 500rpm? When crossing the traps my speedo said ~112mph.

mdacton you do have a point. It's possible I may just concentrate N/A for awhile. I mean if it takes me 3 ****ing years to build, get tuned and race an engine...
