Question Electric water pump Q's

How reliable are they? Can I use one on a daily driver? Should i go with a HD model?

Some are more reliable than others. I've heard of way more problems with the Meziere. pumps than the CSI. The CSI is a little harder to install, though.
There are quite a few on the board that use them in Daily drivers.
My car never gets above 180* since I put mine on...Even in traffic.

I have one on my daily driver. It is a noticable gain.I honestly would not recommend it,unless you are a hardcore car guy. When it dies you better stop NOW.Carry a spare if you go with it.

I'd run it!!!!!

I haven't heard of anyone's electric pump just giving out on them/unless due to age.

Only problem I've found with mine is that the temps creep up on me when I'm sitting in traffic at a stop light. Other than that, it works just fine.

I've taken my car from Albuquerque, NM to Texas and back twice, then to Kansas and back, then to Phoenix and back in the last 4 months without any problems.

I'm pretty sure these pumps help in traffic/compared to cam driven ones......cam driven pumps work good at high rpms......electric work consistant at all rpms.

ive been running a csi for around 5000 miles now and no problem.. was alittle harder to install than the miezer one.. but it was 60 bucks cheaper. U can feel the gain and my temp always stays around 175-185. I live in florida where it gets hot as hell too.
Just watch the temp gauge....
