I believe 2 on the driver side are the CAGS solenoid (rear) and reverse-lockout solenoid (further forward). Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Those two I know for sure have the same connectors since I accidently !CAGS my reverse instead of my CAGS 'noid . The CAGS solenoid will be directly next to the shifter base if I remember correctly.

The pass side may be for the E-brake or the Neutral safety switch.

I think the one on the passenger side is the VSS. Whats the one that controls that stopper that stops the shifter from moving? Its gotta be the reverse lockout or the CAGS for sure.

CAGS locks you out of 2nd and 3rd under certain conditions, and Reverse Lockout locks you out of reverse when you're above a certain speed, etc. Search the web for CAGS solenoid and you're sure to find some pics.

I think the one by the input for the shifter is for CAGS, the one under that is probably the reverse light switch, and the one on the front is probably the reverse lockout. COME ON GUYS SOMEBODY HAS TO KNOW..........

M6 = 6-speed Manual transmission (Borg-Warner T56). As opposed to the A4 = 4-speed Automatic transmission.
