Eletrical Problem - Blinkers/headlights/wipers

I did a bunch of searches, tried a few things that people suggested eventhou I couldn't find a thread that really related to me.

All my blinkers work, front, back, left, and right. Also my wipers work fine. Then when I turn my headlights on or they get turned on automatically, Everything goes to hell.

My driver side blinker:The indicator on the dash goes from full to semi-lit, to not lit at all. It just does so randomly. This is with the blinkers off, if I turn it on, it stays lit solid, no blinking.

My wipers: just stop working as if power was cut from them as soon as my lights turn on. (annyoing since it was raining today)

ASR OFF warning: the dash indicator light also turns on the second my lights go on, and goes away the second my lights are off

I just installed my rebuilt motor this week, and yesterday was the first day driving it, so I might have a short somehwere... Anyone have any ideas where to start, or other possibilites?

My girlfriend noticed tonight that my driver side headlight is also dimmer than the passenger, also the turn signal light that is usually brightly lit is off. I'm going to try cleaning all the connections tomorrow, I hope its not anything serious.

And the mystery continues, While testing things out I've found that if driver side headlight is unplugged the wipers only make it half way up the window, so they are either recieving a voltage drop or a short somewhere before them. This all puts me at a loss

I feel you man. My front left turn signal has started to give me hell. The bright filiment no longer works and it doesn't want to blink right and the indicator on the dash stays lit 24/7. I checked everything I could and I still haven't figured it out. I'm going to check some grounds on it tonight and see if I can find anything. If I discover something, I'll post up here for ya.

Anyone know where the grounds are, I looked over the bundle of wires quickly and traced them to where they meet the firewall. I couldnt find any grounds but I didnt get to look to good it was raining again.

The only suggestion that makes any sense is to look at the wire bundles where they go through any body panels to see if they are not nicked. You may need to actually look at each length of the wires to be sure they didn't get chewed by critters either. Happens this time of year as the cold weather sets in.

Found the problem, it was a ground that got hidden and I didnt reattach it when I put the motor back in. It was the one on that goes to the body next to the upper radiator bracket, the one on the drivers side :-)
