Eliminating Pollution Control!?!?

Well I'm getting ready to put my motor in the car and I really want to eliminate the pollution control air pump and all the hoses coming of the manifolds and all that jazz...does anyone have a walk through or high detail pics that will show me what MUST stay and what can go...I was never really into all that pollution control so I won't know any of these items by name so the pics will help a whole lot...thanks. Also when I have the PCM reprogrammed can i have the pollution control devices deleted so as to keep any check engine lights from coming on?

Thanks again

You can eliminate all the aip pump crap. There is metal pipes coming out of your manifolds. Follow them. They cross over under your optispark. You can take all of that crap off. The air pump is in the front of the motor, driverside. You can pull that off. You can have that stuff tuned out of your computer. To cap off the holes in the manifolds, I just cut the fittings off the pipes that were once screwed in to the manifolds. I then welded the hole shut. Then I simply threaded the plugs in. Sorry I have no pics but it is very easy to do!

What about any of the piping or tubing coming off the back of the intake manifold? Basically of it doesn't make horse or unless it's vital to the motor i want it gone.

Thanks again

I think on the back of the intake, your talking about the EGR valve. There should be two(?) bolts holding that on. I think the dealership sells a block-off plate for that.....its for the lt-4 because it doesnt have an egr system. There is also a guy on here that sells the block off plates.
