Emissions test failed, any idea what's wrong?

Does your test have a diagnostic graph as well? if the graph looks odd and sporratic for the HC levels (seems to go up and spike at times while the other 2 don't seem to do the same thing), it may be a fuel leak around your fuel tank or the charcoal canister. I had this happen to me, replaced the CAT, cleaned the injectors, etc etc. Finally got the car to pass when they found one of my vapour lines to the EGR was saturated with fuel and the charcoal canister was toast as well.

The car finally but BARELY passed and then I realized that it was running hot and the fans were always on. It turned out that I had a bad Engine Coolant Sensor so the PCM wouldn't get the proper TEMP.

I can see that being a probable cause wouldn't you guys think so?

Thanks for the help.

PS. The car is sold and I will trully miss it!
