engine missfire just read the codes need interp help
I've had a missfire and some issues with knocking for a time no but they got put on the backburner due to a move
So I finally get the time to use the cheapy code scanner I got and it came back with these codes,
0172 bank #1 too rich....
I am assuming bank #1 is the right bank because I also get the code
0304 missfire on cyl#4
and on start up code
0300 random multiple missfire detected.....
Im going to start checking for loose wires and such but If any of you have Ideas to better assist me please let me know.

Bank 1 is the left bank.
#4 is on the right bank as you probably know. If you have not done plug wires in a while, it may be time. Also look down into the opti terminals for corrosion when the plug wires are removed.

Remove the plugs and check them carefully. It is a big pain with my headers but you can get a spark plug socket on Ebay for $5 which is a lifesaver! Check for any hairline cracks on the porceline of the plugs (the white part). Also, look carefully at the the center and side electrodes. Sometimes they can blow apart and cause a misfire.
Worst case scenario is that you've got a head gasket letting loose and the coolant is blowing out your spark. Worst Case.
When you remove your plugs, make sure that the tips look tan-brown. Any black slime or black powder is bad. A very clean plug is also bad and can indicate a blown head gasket.
Do you have any bubbles in your cooling system? Those can come from a blown head gasket too... are you adding coolant?
