Don't know, but ya need to first check to see if it's clocked right.
Was the engine balanced?
Was it internal balanced?
Was it balanced like factory with the front half internal and the back half external?
Was the balancer and flywheel balanced with the internals?
Was the PP balanced with the internals?
Is the PP clocked right?

If the engine was balanced internally and the flywheel was not balanced with it,there is your problem. From the factory it has a weight, and if the engine was internal balanced it don't need the weight. Ya should have it "0" balanced. Maybe just taking the weight off will do it,but to be correct it should be "0" balanced.

Re: engine problems

well mayb i can give you more info...this motor was from a guy that had a spun bearing i had it rebuilt no balancing or nothing...(i did this to my other z28 also) i have had no problems with my other car its been up for 2 years now, the differance is i used the same motor taht came out of my car...this motor is from a diff car and it was bone stock...so it shoul-d be stock neutral balanced, which means all that i shoulda had to do was have the flywheel zero balanced correct? mayb that will give more info

If it's stock it is half and half front is 0 balanced(internal) and the back has a weight on the flywheel(external). If for some reason the weight is off it ain't balanced.

If it's internally balanced try taking the weight off of the flywheel.
If that don't work then get another FW and have it "0" balanced and bolt it on.
Ya shouldn't have to take anything else but the FW to the shop.
