Engine r&r
Anyone have a link to a COMPLETE checklist of what needs to be removed when dropping the LT-1 out the bottom? I've seen the couple of popular links, but they definitely leave a few things out. Jut want to see if such a link exists, as I'll be starting this process in the near future. Thanks in advance for any help!

Re: Engine r&r
I downloaded these a long time ago off this board.
Index of /LT1_Removal_From_Bottom
Rather than buy dollies, I built an adapter for the K-member to sit down upon. I can roll my floor jack under it and jack it up. However, my floor jack is bigger than your general run of the mill floor jack. The trans is strapped to a small floor jack.
The stands you see under the body(2x4's with jacks on top), I built on up to eliminate the jack stands....they are now fully 2x4s. More stable than the jack stands on 2x4s.
I also have eliminated the chains wrapped around the frame rails to lift the body. I got some all thread rod(will check on diameter) from my Dad and bent up some "U bolts" that go through the shock tower mount holes with large washers and nuts behind them. I connect a chain across them and lift it as one might do with a strut tower brace.
These are old pictures, but I'll try to upload some recent ones later.
