Just a small update here, going to engine builder today for price etc etc. Will update again later today. Anything I need to further ask my builder before he begins?

Most of the time the heat forms the wire to bend toward the correct connector. Shouldn't be hard, if it doesn't fit one connectr port... try another lol.

Ok guys, got the cost for engine builder to do all machine work and build engine today it was 350$ I buy all parts, does not include splay.
My question to you is, what cam. I will be useing stock pcm (tuned of course), dont really have any reason to worry about to much about its DD ability. Stock cast heads for now (heads later). Thank you. I know reamo posted a cam, opinions on that one aswell if you wish.

be sure to let the machine shop and builder know if you are planning to put nitrous on the car in the future. This will affect how they setup the clearances, gaps, etc.

$350 is a damn good price. Does that include all of the machine work as well as the assembly? I'm having one done right now and below is the cost break down I was given. Either you're getting a great deal or I'm getting screwed. I think you're getting a pretty good deal though as this is my second time doing a rebuild and the costs are similar between the two.

Hone Block 74.00
Cam Brg Labor 35.00
Clean Block 65.00
Line Bore block 180.00
Balancing 175.00
Piston pressing 45.00
Resize Rods 80.00
Machine Crank 95.00
Assembly Engine 350.00

Total: $1099

I believe someone else will be doing the balancing, im buying a new crank so no need to turn mine. I have new rods so no need to resize them. Yours does seem expensive even taking out the small stuff.

42's will be good.
If you want to convert to E85, you could get some 60 siemen deka's from yourperformancesources.com for 359 shipped.

I was thinking 42 aswell. Summit is being skimpy and not selling any kind but accels and some other junk brand. Or I just need to revise my search. May see what customssi has. Seems to have slipped my mind, whats a good brand of injector. SVO's? I have heard the accels leak.

Yea, im looking at the racetronix injectors on thunder racing. I believe this is what I need 135-INJ-621031-8 Delphi/Lucas 42# High Impedence Fuel Injectors, Am I correct? Anyone wish to chime in on the cam yet? I know theres 500million topics under search for cam stuff, and it never seems like they have an exact topic asking my questions lol.

what is the cost of those injectors? The FMS SVOs have been used heavily in our cars without issue. I've had 24# and now 42# SVOs and have zero complaints.

was it hard pulling it from the top? I know the proper way is to drop cradle engine/tranny as an assembly. I considered pulling mine from the top.
