engine running but sputters
if this makes any sense to anyone, let me know. When i start my car up it starts up fine. When I drive, it sputters/crappin out. a buddy of mine told me it might be the valve, we put a screw driver to the vavle covers and put are ear up to it and it sounds the same. could this mean the spark plugs need to be change or the distributor is goin out or the timing is a little off? thanks

the timing is not likely to be off (if you understand the LT1 distributor, you know why), i had this SAME exact problem and mine as the wire harness at the optispark (distributor). I'd try that, if it doesn't fix the problem, it's still a good investment as they are PRONE to going bad, second fix i would try would be the ICM (ignition control module), its another famous ignition piece that fails.

hope that link helps because from GM, that wire harness is about $150!!

Is your check engine light on? Have you done a tune up lately, or done any recent work to the car and mabye forgot to hook something back up? I know it sounds stupid, but it does happen.
Good luck finding the problem, and post back to let us know what it was when you do find it.

I Am Goin To Go Take It To A Shop To See If They Can Find Out What Is Wrong With It Tomorrow Since I Have No Money Till Tomorrow. The Only Thing I Have Done To It Was Change The Oil, What Type Of Oil Do You Recommend I Put 10w30 In It Last Time, But The Guy That I Bought It From Used 20w40 Or 50. Also How Hard Is It To Change The Spark Plugs Cause I Noticed There Isn't Much Room Under The Hood. Will I Have To Take Off The Headers? Thanks

When my harness went bad it DID NOT throw any codes, you just have to kind of move it around and mess with it to see if any sudden or suddle changes occur. As i mentioned, if it is not bad, it will be in the future...i didnt think $45 would be too much of a hastle to throw down on a chance of a fix and to eliminate what is almost an inevidable future problem. But getting it scanned is defenitly a way to start off, as far as plugs, no you wont have to take off the headers, but you MAY have to unbolt your Y-pipe, most of your plug changing will be done from underneath the car anyhow. good luck
