Engine Swap
I got a 94 Z28 and the motor took a poo poo on me. i am lookin at gettin something done soon. I found a guy who has a 95 Buick Roadmaster with the Lt1 with about 90k on it. now if i am right everything will work for a swap. just take my heads and motor mounts and it should work?

Yes, it'll all work. Actually, if the new engine comes with the OPTI in place, go with the newer setup. The vented system lasts longer and is cheaper to replace when it fails.

I would leave the b-body heads on it and save your's for when you have the time money and inclination to port them. They are a bit lift limiting though so you will have to check and see if they will accomodate your cam choice.
Intake manifold vary by year not model car, 94-95 are going to be functionally the same if not the exact same piece.
In bolton form the b-body and f-body make very similar peak numbers, I actually wonder if it was not the f-body cam that was the compromised one, compromised to kill a little very lowend torque to save your POS axle. Not a big deal since you want to swap the cam anyway.

The tailshaft housings are different b-body to f-body, that is an EASY swap.
screwy thing is there are small year based differences all the way through the LT1 years, something meaningful changed every year from 93-96 at least.
You can make the 95 tranny work but you will have to talk to more of a tranny guru. The big difference is the 95 tranny is Pulse Width Modulated and the 94 is not. I believe you can modify something in the pan and negate this difference but like I said you need a tranny guru to tell you waht it is.

94 tranny uses a "on/off" command from the PCM to lock up the converter, the 95s need a different command for the converter to lock. You can run a 95 tranny in a 94 car, but you need a 95 .bin file loaded to the computer to work right. This is all under the assumption that the roadmaster's transmissions follow the same pattern of the F-bodies, I could be wrong but it's an educated guess.
