Re: Eportworks LT1 LE1 Value & Performance

[QUOTE=SStrokerAce]Someone gets me some good measurements on one so I can figure where they tune differently than the LT's and I might be able too.

Bret

I am putting an LT1 in an MGB with 1 5/8" blockhugger headers and they are the the only things I could get to fit because it is so low. The rest of the exhaust is dual 2 1/2" with very low restriction mufflers. I am going to get Lloyd to do the heads before I put the engine in for the last time (after paint) along with the rest of the mods he suggests. The runner lengths on the headers are 10" for the front and rear tubes and 7 1/2" for the center tubes to the point where they meet the 2 1/2" "collector". What kind of grind would you recommend to maximize HP gain before the exhaust creates diminishing returns. I am more interested in performance than sounding bad azz at the stoplight.

I'm more interested in performance too....

I could come up with a cam based on those measurements.

I'll shoot you an email when I send the heads to Lloyd.

Thanks

Re: Eportworks LT1 LE1 Value & Performance

I dynoed 420RWHP/373RWTQ SAE corrected through a 12 bolt, thats with the LE3 heads/cam.

I'm running FLP headers and I'm lowered just over 3" in the front and don't have problem bottoming out, except my air dam always bottoms out
