Exhaust help, what to do.

Had a cutout on my stock 94 z28 for 3 years now. Finally have had to remove it since im tired of failing inspection and having to get it rewelded everytime I get it inspected. Whats a good fairly priced exhaust setup that will bring back the sound of the cutout that is legal? I miss the sound of the cutout, will a loudmouth exhaust bring back the cutout sound and keep her legal?

I don't get how a cutout fail inspection? Did you have it close at the time?. Anyway as for the loudmouth, it almost sound as if you have a cutout. The company claims 50 state legal, but sometimes you'll have that one officer that will still give you a nosie level ticket, and then you will still have to prove it's within the 95 decibel level (thats for Cail, I don't know whats for your area).

Re: Exhaust help, what to do.

I just passed emissions and I just closed the cut-out.

Is there a leak at the welds or something?

they wouldn't pass it just for the cutout being on, it doesn't leak and I had it capped. PA has strict laws I guess, every garage i called wouldn't pass the dang thing, its a 94 too so for emissions all they check is the gas cap.
