exhaust manifold gasket?

i am assuming that i have a bad exhaust manifold gasket on the drivers side because of the drivers side plugs all having black carbon build up on the ceramic part of the plug right where the plug wire boot does not cover up.

what i want to know is, is this the reason for all the drivers side plugs being carbon fouled?

if i change this gasket will these problems be gone, except for maybe changing plugs again.

when i scaned the car it doesnt seem like anything strange is going on with the o2's

thanks!

Re: exhaust manifold gasket?

Are you sure your plugs are tight? If you have an exhaust leak near the head, you will most always see some black soot. That's fairly normal.

Re: exhaust manifold gasket?

the old plugs and new plug are/were in good.

so then i do have an exhaust leak at the manifolds right?

ok then would that be causing it to run rich/lean enough to make if carbon foul all of the plugs
