Exhuast HELP!!!
#2
If you want to put a pair of Dynomax bullet style mufflers on a stock cat-back, you would have to have a muffler shop run a splitter off the end of the intermediate pipe, and then route individual tail pipes to each side of the bumper, with the bullets in the individual tail pipes.
After you are all done, all you will have accomplished is changing the sound. To get any sort of HP increase, you need to do a full cat-back, with a 3" mandrel-bent intermediate pipe.
PS: Please don't post the same question on two forums... you already had this on the "Exhaust" forum.

The stock intermediate pipe is 2.75", but it is not the same diameter in all locations... there are places where it thins out to lesser diameter. A full 3" mandrel-bent pipe (no crimps) will flow better. All the quality aftermarket cat-back systems will have a mandrel-bent pipe. And a quality exhaust shop should have a mandrel bending machine for custom work.

yeah the shop that im going to does have a mandrel to bend the pipes. Do you think ill have a "flow" problem with one pipe basically flowing straight out and the other one not getting enough flow.... if i decide to run two bullets . Also, would the bullets be visable from looking at the back of my car? Thanks for all of your help thus far!
