fan problems

i just bought this 93 z a couple of months ago and i noticed that the fan is not working so it has been getting a little hot i was wondering if there is a way to check the fan to see if it still works or if it is a sensor or what it takes to replace the fan where to get one is there one that is better than the oem thanks for the help

Under the hood pop open the fuse and relay box use the diagram in the lid to identify wich relay goes to wich cooling fan then take the relay out of the fan you want to check and use a piece of wire and thread one end of the wire to the left prong on the relay and the other end of the wire to the right side then push the relay back into place and the fan should turn on if it is in working condition.
