Finally cured my stumble/miss problem

I've been trying to fix an intermittent stumble that was occuring throughout the RPM range for over a month now and I finally found the problem this weekend, a torn #5 plug wire. I've got SLP single cat headers and anyone that has them knows it's very hard to access #5 and you can't see the plug or wire boot, it's the one you need SLP's "special" socket to even get the plug in it's so tight. I was installing new plugs to see if that would help my stumble and found the rubber was torn all around the base of the boot. I think it happened when I was reinstalling the boot a while ago, it's hard to get on and I sometimes use a flathead screwdriver against that primary to force the boot on (bad idea I guess)

So after buying and replacing the following items without fixing it: (fuel pressure was reading low btw)

Walbro 255lb/hr fuel pump and instal kit
New stock fuel pressure regulator
Fuel pressure test gauge
2 fuel filters
MSD Coil
Metco AFPR
Download software and cable for my Autoxray

.....and about $400 or so later I finally find it's all coming from a damn plug wire

Just a reminder for everyone with a unexplained miss or stumble, CHECK ALL YOUR PLUG WIRES! especially if you have headers with tight primaries like the SLP's. I looked them over when this all started but obviously not close enough. Anyway, I'm happy to say the car is back to it's old self again.

YES! I have a high speed WOT stumble...changed 7 outa the 8 plugs(I still cant get the #6 plug out its in there too tight)...and only replaced 2 wires and it cured it. I gotta make the rest of my taylor wires and throw them in there....just ran outa time(school and work will do that to you)

Plugs/wires are such a bitch in these cars I think ppl over look them and dont WANT it to be that problem...thats the way I was. Finally I bit the bullet and did them. Helped a bunch!
