finally dynoed my T/A

i took it to FLP (Finish Line Performance) in Naperville to be tune by Dan Bills, he really knows his stuff. anyways, i have mods in sig.

car did 326 RWHP and 342 FT lb TQ with a ballin *** torque curve or i mean, what curve.hehe.

it was without nitrous of coarse and the A/F was dead ***** on perfect after some adjusting. it was pouring rain on the drivehome so i couldnt really "feel" a difference in the tune but its good to know ill be just shy of 450 horse with a 125 shot.
temp was 94 degrees and numbers are not SAE corrected.

what you guys think for a bolt on LT1 with a 224/224 cam?

Any chance of you posting up the dyno graph?

Why would they not "correct" the numbers either to STD or SAE? They short-changed you. Without the correction, you've got to account not only for the air temp, but the barometric pressure, and the humidity.

You'd be close to 350 with correction.

alright i took a second look at the dyno chart and i dont understand some of it(go figure). they never said anything about correcting it, they gave me the chart and i discussed the a/f and timing with them a bit, but thats all.

heres all it says:

it says on the top right...
CF: SAE Smoothing: 5

and then on the bottom is has...
94.28* F, 29.17 in-Hg, Humidity: 28%, SAE: 1.04

Not bad... I would expect atleast 335rwhp out of it, but not too bad.

BTW, I am putting a 224/224 cam in my 383 LTX.... oh, did I mention I need to pas emissions and I will be running a T88 turbo I am actually planning on breaking in the motor first without the turbo setup, so I will get #'s N/a first (depsite the 8.5:1 CR). I would think I could hit 370-380rwhp.

What made you choose that cam? Most popular LT1 grinds have more exhaust duration than intake, so I was just curious.

i got it used real cheap and it was nearly brand new, also i dont need to rev it very much to get good power out of it, it has a nice idle, nice drivability, the car is my daily driver and i have nitrous as well, so i thought the baby cam would be a good choice.

as far as the grind, its a custom comp grind, im not sure why the guy i bought it from had those specs done, but i must say it has a nice idle and deffinitley an awesome range for street driving. also, this cam made me go from 14.2 to 13.3, although i couldnt hook up either time, so a 12.7-12.9 shoudl be doable i beleive with just this cam.

you can still have a lot of fun with 342 ft/lbs of torque at the wheels!

Very good numbers through an A4

I like the flat TQ curve. Looks like a stock dyno, but everything is higher.

Opps. Totally missed that.

In that case, your numbers suck. Just kidding. The TQ is nice and high for cam only, no heads. That dyno chart is very close to what I'm trying to acheive when I throw my cam in.

I absolutely love that torque curve!!! That's just awesome.

I've always been told torque is what get's the car down the track!
