Question Firehawk and ws6

I was wondering. I know that with the LS1, the Firehawk is a more powerul car and different car than the WS6. But i was wondering, is the Firehawk a WS6 in the LT1? I have seen Firehawks a lot and then noticed that they made the WS6s in the late models too. I didnt know if they were the same.

The Firehawk is an SLP prepped car. The WS6 is a GM option like the Z-28 is an RPO to designate a certain engine, suspension upgrade on the camaro chassis.. No matter what year or which engine this is always the case.

I could be wrong on this, but I thought that the Firehawks in the 93-97 models had the LT4 engine in them...please correct me if I am wrong.

I think the Firehawk started in 92 and I'm not sure what engine it had then. But the later years(93-97) had LT1s not LT4s.

hawks started in 91 though there were only like 6 91s and 25 92s give or take. These hawks were badass, I think they were like 40k and were damn near full race cars.

In '97 A VERY FEW (29 to be exact) Firehawks were built with the LT4. The rest had 315 HP LT1's.

Could be 305 HP....I've never been a much of a Firehawk fan, I believe the LT4's still pumped out 330 HP - it's the same LT4 as in the '96 Grand Sport and Collectors Edition Vette's. I dunno though, maybe the F-body's had more restrictive exhaust manifolds and the LT4's only pumped out 315 HP in an F-body. Anyone know?

the firehawk was a slp prepped car. The 96 and 97 WS.6 was a slp prepped car to just like the 96 and 97 SS were. They changed in 98 to some other company

It wasn't just a GM option like the Z28

all the LT1 WS.6 came with 305 hp
I really don't know how much hp the firehawk had, I think it was 315

I'll tell you this right now, don't listen to everyone on here, you'll get some information thats not true I know there's some true firehawk owner or people with knowledge to help you out.

I'm not sure about the 96 WS6 cars, but the 97 WS6 was done in-house at GM....at least mines was, I bought my car brand new. BTW....what other company could you possibly be talking about? All 98-02 WS6 cars were done at GM.

NO it can't be Why are people with 98-02 WS.6 always saying there cars are from some company called asc or acs or somthing like that and 96-97 WS.6 came from SLP, I swear there from SLP

I really thought 96-97 cars were from slp. I'm confused now

I'm not going to tell my baby this, It might hurt it's feeling now that I don't know where my baby was born. Is it GM or SLP?

All LT1 Firehawks (except 29 '97 models) and WS6s are made by SLP, NOT GM.

LT1 Firehawks were extremely rare, and were rated at 330HP (1997 only).

All LS1 Firehawks and WS6s are made by ASC.
