Firestone quotes me $2,000+ to pass emissions

Dude, I was stationed in Groton, CT for over 4 years (2000-2004), and did most of the mods on my '95Z while there on base at the auto hobby shop with friends. Built two other cars there. Don't know what area of CT you are in, but there is also a local fbody club there, do a search, it's something like ctfbodyassociation.com or something like that, even John from MBA billet is associated with them, they're great guys, and I'm sure somebody will help you out.
I'm not bashing people who know little about cars, as I am no pro by any means. I learn alot even on these boards, but do NOT let a shop or someone make you think a simple problem like the one you may very well have, is worth shelling out thousands to fix, without getting other opinions and estimates, in writing. Well worth $70 for a couple estimates at the most, than letting firestone screw you. I recommend also buying a haynes manual or chilton's, one of the two or both, and just start reading. You'll be doing most of your own fixes in no time flat.

Once I found this site, I felt stupid for paying Autozone & Advance 75 bucks each for new injectors. If I had paid over 200, I might have offed myself.
