First mods to LT1?

Everyone is steering you in the right direction..
Think of the engine as an air pump... rule of thumb is to start with exhaust, catback/headers, and then do the intake.. you are then able to move more air through the system..
now that you car can do that.. you need a tune to take advantage of the extra air and fuel you can move..
After that your mods can support 1.6 rockers, head/cam, etc...
Gains can be had not using this order, but you will make better use of your mods this way..
As for brakes, I upgraded mine to Baers, but that is because third gen brakes are crapola, fourth gens came with much better stopping power.. but another rule of thumb to consider is the faster you go, the faster you may need to stop..
