Fixed bent valves, will barely run.
I bent 3 valves so I replaced the heads and have adjusted the valves twice (going by the adjustments from the haynes manual)and now the car is running like it did when they were bent. Which is it will barely run roughly and only when at WOT. There is one plug wire off of a truck on there because mine burnt up..any ideas?

Right, no vertical play. Number one was on TDC . So we tightened numbers 2,5,7 intake valves and number 3,4,8 exhasut valves. Then turned crank 360 and adjusted 3,4,6,8 intake and number 2,5,6,7 exhaust. All were tighted till no play and then tightened 3/4 turn.

It could literally be any number of things from a vacuum leak to an uplugged sensor, bad wire or even loss of compression. Did you check compression on those cylinders where you experienced the bent valves? It is possible there was damage to the piston or the rings.
You have to be as detailed as possible about how it is running explaining that it ran as bad as when you bent the valves does nothing for someone who never heard it run that way

Pretty much, it would only run at WOT and that was barely..and sometimes it would idle but it was so rough it would barely stay runnin and like it had the worse miss in the world in it. Now it will only run at WOT. After adjusting the valves we did feel on the rods to see how tight they were..and i believe we are not supposed to do that..could that be the problem?

zero lash is when the push rod just hits the plunger on the lifter. Then it's another 3/4 turn. If you collapse the lifter then it's like running solids which is not a good idea. You add another 3/4 turn to collapsed lifters and your holding the valves open
