It is not one of the best cat-back systems available for our cars, but it is better than stock. You probably got about ~5rwhp from it.

Is it a 3" exhaust?? Or just a stock pipe w/ a flowmaster muffler? Cause if it is the stock pipes w/ a flowmaster muffler, it will either do one of two things....make you keep the SAME hp, or DROP your hp. Flow masters, aka, blowmasters. If it has 3" pipes you should be ok though...like what he saiad, not as good as others but better than stock.

The only thing I can say about Flowmaster is while they might not flow as well as others, they definitely are one of the best sounding exhaust setups...period.

I don't think they sound all that good... I like the sound of Hooker, Corsa and the SLP 2OTL. Flowmaster is to quiet for me.

Is there anybody out there that dynoed this to see which exhaust is better on the same car? I mean isnt every car diff.? Tell me it wouldnt be cool to see a car being upgraded with different makers parts example take Flowmaster then change to another brand exhaust still using the same car then dyno it???

I have never dyoned a car with different exhausts but when i used to have my S10 Xtreme i put on a flowmaster 40 series on and about a year later i switched to dynomax ultra flo and i can say that the flowmaster is louder but the dynomax outperformed the flowmaster by a huge amount. The truck was more responsive, faster, higher top end, more low end, i mean everything was better.

I never felt a power increase in a exhaust system nothing seat of the pants to notice and I have had alot of cars just more noise.

I want louder too, which is why I have 2 dynomax bullets sitting in my room right now, but by no means is my Flowmaster quiet. With no cats and a Flowmaster 80's series, it can be pretty loud. I get a good bit of compliments and there's no way I can say that the Hooker is louder than the Flowmaster.

people can say what they want about a flowmaster, but for the price, its cheaper than a lot of other cat backs. I cant complain. I got shortie headers and a flowmaster cat back and run low 13s with minimal mods.

My answer to that is Where di you get this info.... personal opinion? I agree that it will not add much HP doing only a Flowmaster, but it will not DROP your HP. I had a Dynomax Ultraflow and ran a 14.2 1/4 mile. Under near identical conditions I ran a14.2 a couple weeks later after switching to a Flowmaster. The Flowmaster is louder, and yes, I doubt it really adds more tha 1 or 2 HP....but it is NOT more restrictive than the stock brick on our cars.

sooooooooo your saying that it will have no HP to the car?
aslo the guy ran the car when it was stock and he ran a 13.9 in the 1/4 b4 he added the flows and 160 thermo with manual fan switch and Moroso CAI!!!
what you think it will do now? 13.6?
plus im going to do the TB bypass on the car cause it doesnt have it, bore out the maf, tpi airfoil, throw my pullies on and put in my 3.73 gears and drop ou tthe tranny and put mine in!!

then it should run a 13.3 or so!!!
