Re: Free stock LT1 intake RWHP guessing game.

Well it wasn't a dynojet. It's a mustang dyno. And sadly i only made 346. It's making solid power but started floating valves at just over 5k rpms. The HP was climbing hard too wasn't even starting to level off then it'd just start breaking up. Gonna put some different springs on it next month and we'll see what we get then. Shane at Thunder Racing said my flowmaster is absolutely killing my HP too. So a chambered muffler is already en route. They also suggested a MSD 6al. I do love the cam though. My car sounds so nasty and it does have some more "feelable" power. Don't have to worry about breaking my 10 bolt just yet though.

Had to go with a new rocker for the 7/16 studs and different injectors. So i got a few things for sale i'll post in the for sale section later.

But as promised:
Shaun 95 camaro 1st (intake) 351
Mike Gyver 2nd (TB or cam your choice) 352
Mean Z28 (whatever Gyver doesn't take) 362

PM me your address' Gyver i need to know which one you want and Mean i'll let you know what you got coming. Thanks everyone for participating. If the Mods could leave this stickyed until i get this stuff shipped out i'd appreciate it.

Don't let that number get you TOO down. Mine only puts down 508 at the tire on a Mustang dyno. However, a new ZR1 puts down somewhere around 512 on the same dyno.

Keep tweaking and tuning and you will be making some great power soon.

I think it is awesome of you to do this giveaway!!

Re: Free stock LT1 intake RWHP guessing game.

I've gotten some good deals on here and gotten some GREAT info so i just wanted to pass along something. Just a couple minor things i have to change. I'm looking for 400rwhp on just motor and i'm happy. I know i'll get there just definately a little down. But my glass is always half full. Don't NEED a new rear end, i can still take it to the track, it didn't blow up, and dam it turns some heads now! That cam at idle is awesome!.

Thanks to the admins and mods. You run a great site and have some great members. Injuneer and shoebox, just off the top of my head are just the gurus you want on here. They're both so dam helpful.

To others, if you need some LT work and you're within 4 hrs of Thunder Racing, Shane, John, and Gene are the guys you want to talk to. They were sooo knowledgable and friendly. I'll be back for sure!

Re: Free stock LT1 intake RWHP guessing game.

Alright Jason i got the address'. The intake goes out tomorrow and the cam will go out monday. Thanks for the opportunity to give a little something back even if they're used parts. Thanks to all that played along. On a side note the valves springs are being swapped out and adding a 6al thanksgiving week ( i hope). So there should be some different numbers when i can actually rev this thing to 6500ish.

Dam! I already got all the new springs and the 6al box. Thanks though.

It's going back to the shop Saturday morning. So i'll have some Beehive springs for sale with about 600 miles on them after thanksgiving.

What injectors did you choose? And those headers, are they long tubes or shorties?

What are the specs on the valves and the springs? Why was it floating the valves at 5,000 RPM?

Those are small primary shorties. At least the JBA's I've seen.
