Fuel Line Disconnect?

Fuel Line Disconnect?
Having problems disconnecting fuel line and return fuel line from fuel rails on my 96 lt-1. Have tried both my metal and plastic fuel line disconnect tools, but can't get lines to come apart. Is there a special tool or "trick" to taking apart?

Re: Fuel Line Disconnect?
If memory serves me correctly, I had push the connection together while inserting the disconnect tool. I seem to remember having a bit of a time getting the line apart too. The good news is they go back together with ease.

Re: Fuel Line Disconnect?
The disconnect tool is special itself. Is that what you mean? It should look like the second one down on this page.

Other than that, they are a b!tch sometimes and you just have to keep messing with them.

Make sure that you relieve pressure off the line too! It makes it a little easier to get those lines to disconnect
